Responsibilities of Members in Leadership Positions
Owner Owner is to serve for a 3 months or more depending on their availability. Owners are appointed by the current owner and the council of former owners. Owner is responsible for running the clan and making all the day-to-day decisions necessary for the functioning of the clan. Also, responsible for helping resolve farming issues, or other clan issues and building clan cohesion. It is encouraged that owner seeks council from other clan members and/or the council of former owners when making difficult decisions for the clan (ie such as entering an osw, etc). Major decisions, such as mergers, cs req'ts etc should be discussed with the council of former owners before being brought to the clan.
EB Coordinators
EB Coordinators are responsible for helping to plan large ebs at Brotherhood as well as at our allied clans. EB Coordinators should be aware of any promotions that the devs may be running, such as double gold or double drop ebs. By running these promotional ebs it will keep our members from having to go hunting for these equipments, it will boost clan morale, and strengthen our alliances. Coordinators should try to be active in cc and should be aware of the types of ebs that members would like us to run and the equipment that members need.
If Coordinators plan to run a large eb at Brotherhood, they should be sure that we have sufficient active members to complete an eb (e.g if we are going to run ACC we need a full can of actives, if we are going to run FOD we can likely do it without help, etc). If we fall behind on an eb, they should reach out to one of our allied clans for help. If an ally notifies us that they would like our help to complete an eb, Coordinators should encourage members to go and help complete the eb. Coordinators should work with our Clan Ambassadors to strengthen our alliances by running joint ebs. Large ebs should be started around 9am EDT/2pm UK, as that is when when we have the most active members. As the clan grows and becomes stronger we may be able to run large ebs b2b, but Coordinators should be prepared to call for help if it is needed. Clan Ambassador
Clan Ambassadors are primarily responsible for strengthening Brotherhood's relationships with its allies. In addition, they should always keep an eye out for potential alliances.
Strengthening Relationships One of the keys to a successful clan is building close relationships with other clans that result it each clan being willing to help each other no matter the circumstances. Allies are able to help each other complete tough ebs, but more importantly are support in the event of an OSW (Off-system war). If our alliances are strong another clan may think twice before attacking us and starting an OSW because they will need to worry about whether or not they will be starting a war with our allies in the process. The best alliances are those where our members and their members consider each other like blood brothers. Willing to protect each other and help each other no matter the circumstances. Alliances should be looked as as being part of the same family of clans. If our alliances are weak then we will be unable to call upon that ally for help in a time of need. Clan Ambassadors are encouraged to work with our EB Coordinators to ensure that Brotherhood and our allies work together often. In addition, Ambassadors should spend at least a few hours each week doing ebs at each of our allied clans. During the time you are visiting an allied clan be sure they know you from Brotherhood. Try and be active in cc and get to know key members of the clan, such as the owner, admins, and their members who are regularly active in cc. Once you have developed a relationship with the owners and admins, continue strengthening those friendships. Be creative. Think of ways in which you can bring Brotherhood and our allied clans closer. We currently have three formal alliances and one that can likely be developed into a formal alliance. Below is a list of our alliances and the a couple key members from each alliance. Please begin fostering a friendship with these individuals and then branch out to the remainder of the clan. Ravens For Life Fast N Furious -Demonic Raven (Owner) -C_U -Dyinn (Owner) -Sunny -Wharf Rat -535 -Bran Ravalen -gponder Bellatores Immortalis Macto Beasts (needs work for an alliance) -Zanoni -Skip (Owner) -Rio -Sweet Peach -Evo -Junkman -Stars Potential Alliances A potential alliance requires that the alliance be mutually beneficial to Brotherhood and the potential ally. There are some clans who have approached us in the past and we declined to be allies. The problem is that these clans had a high likelihood of entering an OSW and mainly wanted the alliance for support. Thus the alliance would have been much more beneficial to the other clan, and probably would have hurt Brotherhood in the long run. Therefore, when you come across a clan that may be a potential ally consider the following. They need to be able to complete a haunt in under 3hours no matter what time of day it is. It is not beneficial to Brotherhood to have alliances with much weaker clans as they are unable to offer eb or OSW support. Second, consider their actual perm base of members. If the clan is often recruiting from WC to complete ebs it is possible they don't have a strong force of loyal members. Think of it this way, if an OSW were to occur, how many people would stay in the clan bc they are loyal to the clan and its members? Third, it is important to consider the clan's reputation, OSW history, and whether they have any potential OSW on the horizon. If you come across a potential alliance please let the owner know. We can then plan some joint ebs and start testing the waters between Brotherhood and the potential ally to see if an alliance is feasible and mutually beneficial. |
Clan Developer
Clan Developers are essential in the development of a strong and cohesive clan. Clans that bond together stay together through the good times and the bad. Brotherhood is an old school clan and has been around since 2010. Many of the original founds and members of the clan are still active members today. This type of loyalty is developed through a healthy clan chat and developing true friendships wherein members take an interest in each others development in the game as well as in their real lives.
Clan Developers have four main responsibilities. First, they assist and monitor the growth our new members in the clan and provide these members with encouragement along the way. With regard to new members who are not graduates from our subclan, help them to fit in and get to know clan members. On occasion graduates from our subclan or from other clans who come to Brotherhood, either go inactive or leave to join another clan. Having spoken to several of these former members the most common responses have been that they didn't feel like members took an interest in them or did not feel comfortable in the clan because they didn't have many friends in the clan. Clan Developers should be creative in how they handle this responsibility. Just to list a couple of possible examples of methods that could be employed are as follows: befriending the new members and pm'ing them weekly to see how they are going, giving the a wall protection post, commenting on their quick growth or on receiving equipment or in getting high plunder in an eb. They key is to help them feel comfortable to come to cc and that they have at least a couple friends in the clan. Having friends keep people playing this game because they like talking to the friends they have made. Second, helping our new members get to know other members in the clan so they can develop friendships with numerous members. While Clan Developers are encouraged to be creative with this task, some examples that may be used are as follows: pm'ing other members and encouraging them to reach out to new members either via pm or in cc or on their walls. Third, Clan Developers should work with the Clan Recruiters so that when visitors (potential perm members) are in the clan, these visitors are included in cc and feel welcomed. Finally, to keep cc active and to update clan roster titles with the Brotherhood label (ßr๏┼ђєrђ๏๏đ or another one if one is created) or with a visitor title such as "Friend of ____." Clan Recruiter
Clan Recruiters are more important than ever before now that Skorpios the Deathstalker and Jorathe the Silver ebs have been released. These ebs require a high number of active big hitters. Our subclan is a great feeder for Brotherhood and has produced many excellent perm members and will continue to do so in the future. However, when these graduates come to Brotherhood they are small and are unable to deal large amounts of damage to these new ebs.
In order to strengthen the clan and have the ability to consistently do these large ebs without the need from help from our allies we need to try to add additional larger members (greater than 6mil cs) to the clan. Of course we would gladly accept new perms that meet the clan minimum of 2.5mil cs, but would prefer larger members. Clan Recruiters should be creative in thinking of ways to attract new members to the clan. Some possible ideas are the following: have a world chat day where ads are posted to bring in visitors for a large eb; hosting a contest to see who can get the most friends to visit the clan and an award for the winner (like 5bil or something and I could volley with them to get them their award); watching wc to find people who are looking for a perm clan, inviting people you meet while out equipment hunting, etc to visit Brotherhood Recruiters should focus their efforts on people that would make good perm members. In other words, if an individual creates lots of drama or contention with other people they may not be Brotherhood material. Once visitors have been accepted into the clan, Recruiters should do all they can to help those visitors feel welcome, such as, including them in cc, introducing them to other members, etc. Assuming that the visitor stays longer than the one eb, Recruiters should work with the Clan Developers so that the Developers know that there is a potential perm in the clan. Recruiters should continue fostering a good relationship with these visitors so they feel welcome and hopefully decide to become perm members. Recruiters should also encourage other perm members (likely via pm) to reach out to these visitors as well. I would recommend that Clan Developers set achievable recruitment goals. I would love to see Brotherhood make the top 100 leaderboard by the end of the year. |
